Gun Control

The United States had a law called the Assault Weapons Ban. This law made military-style weapons, such as machine guns, illegal. The Assault Weapons Ban expired on September 12, 2004. This means that people can now legally buy these types of guns.

Some people want the government to control the way people buy and sell guns. Others feel that people have the right to buy and own all types of guns.
